JOB DUTIES:

-Required to set up their own machines each time it runs and check their own parts.

-Gauging, working off engineering drawings, call outs for finishes and run outs.

-Lot sizes average range from 15-20 pieces, max lot of 40-50 pieces. Low end lot quantity 10-15 pieces.

-Operator will set up 2-3 jobs/day.

-Set up will be breaking down tooling from previous job, setting up brand new tool (very specific instructions on tooling set up), load tool into holder, inserts and tooling needed is specifically called out for them.

-Set ups could take 1-2 hours on legacy parts, 4-5 of thermal parts.

-No programming required, but tool touch offs and offsets are required.

-Real need for precision grinding and finishing.

-Also do heat treating, masking, plating, liquid nitrating, etc.

-Hold very tight tolerances on gears and shafts, couple of tenths, some of the milling and locations and true positions of a couple tenths.

-Metals working with- ASTM standard; aluminum in thermal, castings are stainless steels. Also working with carbon-based steels. CPM 10-V steel and powdered metal bar stock.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Candidates must be strong in one functional machining technique plus well rounded in other areas as follows: 5 axis milling, horizontal milling, live tooling, turning, grinding both ID/OD, surface grinding and manual proto-traks.

-Communication, read and write English and ability to communicate at all levels with management, technical staff and peers.

• Positive attitude and initiative.

-Need a team player who understands their core values; integrity, maintain professionalism
