Electrical Engineering Technician (Sunnyside, NY): Inspect and repair electrical construction projects for quality control, assurance and proper functioning. Identify solutions to on-site technical design problems involving electrical systems equipment. Set up or operate test equipment to evaluate performance of developmental parts, assemblies, or systems under simulated operating conditions. Assemble electrical systems or prototypes using hand or power tools. Review electrical engineering plans to ensure adherence to design specifications and compliance with applicable electrical codes and standards. Assist with developing and documenting client goals, design concepts, and budget and schedule. Perform construction support of inside plant electrical construction projects and provide technical assistance through the application of engineering/business knowledge. Salary is $76,066 annually.Requirements: Associate’s degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field and 2 years of experience as Electrical Engineering Technician, Electrical Technician, Electronics Technician, or related position. Experience reviewing electrical layout drawings, control schematics and wiring diagrams. Demonstrated knowledge of project management, cost estimating and electrical drawings. Understanding of electrical systems, electrical and building codes.
