What You'll Contribute

This role will lead the corporate financial reporting and equity accounting teams. You will be responsible for managing, developing, and producing the highest quality financial reporting, providing strategic direction in technical accounting matters, and overseeing the accounting for our stock-based compensation plans and equity related transactions. The Senior Director of Corporate Financial Reporting will report to the Controller and partner with the company’s Accounting, Legal, Investor Relations, Treasury, Finance, external audit, and HR-Compensation teams to produce industry leading accounting, reporting and operational excellence. The successful candidate will be a seasoned financial leader with extensive experience in corporate financial reporting and a deep technical accounting knowledge base.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the financial reporting team in drafting and filing all financial documents and SEC filings (Forms 10-K, 10-Q and 8-Ks).

  • Act as accounting technical leader for transactions under existing or future rules, including overseeing policy updates for FASB pronouncements and disclosure requirements.

  • Oversee the accounting for stock-based compensation and equity transactions (including reporting and forecasting).

  • Ensure documentation, testing, and reporting of internal controls for the department’s processes are properly maintained and tested timely.

  • Oversee specific month-end close activities, including the consolidated statement of cash flows and other internal reporting.

  • Support the Controller in cross-functional development projects; analyzing and reviewing detailed plans that involve systems, operations, reporting, and accounting.

  • Act as liaison with the Investor Relations department on the earnings release and investor presentations.

  • Partner with the Financial Systems Department in the development and maintenance of financial systems, tools, and processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency in financial reporting and analysis; support the modernization of financial reporting.

  • Manage a team of finance professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities.

  • Collaborate with other functional areas, such as accounting, tax, legal, and HR, to ensure alignment and consistency in financial reporting and analysis.

What you have

Minimum education, skills and experience required.

  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting/Finance with Certified Public Accountant license or equivalent experience.

  • Technical accounting expertise in U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.

  • A minimum of 10 overall years of experience with time within a Big 4 and publicly traded company.

  • Effective project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with a commitment to producing high-quality work.

  • Strong leadership skills, with experience managing teams and providing guidance and development opportunities.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial information in a clear and compelling manner.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and provide insights and recommendations to senior executives.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Preferred education, skills, and experience.

  • Experience with Workiva or other SEC reporting solution.

  • Experience in financial services industry.
