Alumacraft Boat Co Supplier Quality Engineer in St. Peter, Minnesota

Supplier Quality Engineer Alumacraft Saint Peter, MN, US We are looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer who will report to the Quality Manager, and who'll be tasked with managing the quality of incoming components while minimizing disruption to boat manufacturing. As part of your role, you will manage the suppliers from production PPAP to end of production use. In addition will also be involved in After sales / warranty claims for supplier issues. This position will also be responsible for ST Peter Internal audit processes ISO 9001 Internal audits, problematic supplier audits, internal Process / Product audits. YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO: Maintain the PPAP's and other supplier documentation. Review and approve / reject the PPAP submissions. Support the Incoming inspection, MRB, RMA and charge back processes Responsible for the Internal / External Deviation process Conduct Internal Alumacraft facility Auditing (Process & Product) Vendor Performance (SCAR timely completion and PPM). Auditing of suppliers as necessary. Evaluation of Supplier components in Warranty claims. Assist in training new Quality techs and Quality Inspectors. YOU'LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES: Required: College Degree related to Engineering, Quality, or Manufacturing. (Optional with 5+ years of experience) 3+years' experience in Quality in a manufacturing environment. Experience with basic measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges. Proficient use of computers. Preferably Google or Microsoft. Proficient in interrupting prints or specifications. Previous quality management experience like ISO 9001. Maintain a positive and professional relationship with our suppliers and work cross functionally Communication skills are necessary to be successful in this role. Must be able to train, show how, explain tasks or modifications to the task. Must have organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to Travel to Suppliers as necessary up to 5%. Preferred: Work experience in Electronics or Plastics. Do you have other qualifications?
