Job Description

Core Responsibilities
Directs and oversees timely completion of all New Business Services activities including liaison with operating organizations, and development of large power service contracts.
Develops and monitors departmental budgets and short and long-term goals [which include Annual Team Incentive Plan (ATIP) goals and departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)] for New Business Services in accordance with departmental and corporate objectives.
Provides expertise in and development of strategic and long term planning. Leads and supports communication with various internal and external stakeholders including senior management, customers, policy makers, regulators and third-party partners.
Manages the New Construction Project Management System (NUCON) that provides visibility and timeliness of projects for customers, contractors, and internal resources.
Ensures compliance by customers, contractors, and other entities with all applicable codes and regulations necessary for the provision of gas and/or electric service.
Plans, directs ad coordinates the company's efforts in Clean Energy construction management projects include projects that incorporate solar, electric vehicle and batteries. Works with regulatory agencies on various issues including EV's, Solar and batteries.
Provides for necessary customer engineering support for large commercial customers, schools, and other eligible parties.
As requires is responsible for the management and oversight of departmental and corporate Enterprise Risk Management.
Develops and, as necessary, works with contractors, underwriters and municipal officials to implement new construction requirements.
Develops and provides for the maintenance of departmental procedures and documentation. Develops organizational and procedural changes that promote productivity, financial or quality benefits.
Coordinates and contributes to Customer Services Long-Range Planning and strategic planning efforts.
Manages and coordinates with CECONY Energy Management to ensure accurate load and revenue forecasting
Leads the Priority Restoration Group during storms and other emergency situations.
Leads and supports regulatory efforts including program(s) oversight, rate case efforts, corporate audits, and PSC and BPU clean energy regulatory orders.
Oversees, directs and/or participates on cross-functional teams to identify and analyze opportunities for business growth and development.
Performs other business related tasks and assignments as required.
Required Education/Experience
Bachelor's Degree and 8 years related business experience or
Master's Degree and 6 years related business experience
Relevant Work Experience
3-5 years Must have minimum of three (3) years of supervisory or managerial experience Required
Demonstrated ability in handling union/labor relations. Required
Working knowledge of regulatory processes such as preparation of rate proceedings, responding to commission orders and responses to interrogatories required. Required
Must have a working knowledge of utility or Company operations and policies. Required
Strong leadership and project management skills are required. Required
Excellent presentation, interpersonal, and verbal and written communications skills are required. Required
Excellent interacting with customers, senior company leadership, and key external stakeholders including the PSC and/or other regulatory authorities are required. Required
Must be well-organized, detail oriented, flexible to handle multiple assignments, and able to meet deadlines. Required
Must possess proven leadership qualities/skills, a high work ethic, the ability to motivate people, ad be dedicated to the Corporate Mission and Values. Required
Strong decision-making, organizational, presentation, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills. Required
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail are essential. Required
Computer literacy with demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Required
Related work experience in Operations, Project Management, Construction or Customer Service Preferred
Licenses & Certifications
- Driver's License Required
Other Physical Demands
Must be able to respond to Company emergencies by performing a System Emergency Assignment to restore service to our customers.
Must be able and willing to travel within the O&R and CECONY service territory, to State Regulatory offices, and other locations, as needed.
Must be able to travel to and visit customer field, construction and operating locations.
