We are currently looking for Maintenance Technicians. This position must be able to effectively monitor, troubleshoot and maintain all production and production support equipment. This could include equipment such as Presses, "Cartoning", Tubing, Pouching, Stick machines, Wrappers, Labelers, and accessories. This is a mid-level position. Must be capable of training others and is expected to advocate for standard work processes and personally work to improve standard work processes. This level is considered a subject matter expert on all manufacturing equipment. This position exhibits ownership behaviors to ensure outcomes match company and team needs.

 

Schedule: 

  • TBD (at least 40 hours per week)
  • AM and PM schedules available

     

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensures equipment is maintained to a standard to support First Pass Quality.
  • Service: "Green" hours in production output, especially Power Hour through response to downtime events and Line Doctor Rounds.
  • 100% process compliance with MCI Processes.
  • Set up the next shift for success, @log communication and face to face handoff.
  • Role model engagement and energy to "Win the Shift".
  • Support the execution of daily maintenance work planning.
  • Train and qualify Technicians on all aspects of Technician I job.
  • Provide training to Line Operators as needed on equipment theory of operations and Operator PM's
  • Own 100% compliance to MCI Processes for assigned line (regulations and best practices, PM's and Root Cause Analysis (RCA)).
  • Shop and work area 5S and cleanliness standards.
  • Perform all assigned PM's and corrective Work Orders.
  • Follow all aspects of the Maintenance Planning Process.
  • Use and help validate PM Job Plans, using Asset Essentials (parts lookup, part requests etc.).
  • Drive problem solving using RCA tools, accurate data, and sense of urgency.
  • Comply with all safety regulations and maintain safe work practices.
  • Assist in providing a friendly, positive work environment.
  • Backfill necessary operator positions during uncovered absences or when needed running through breaks.
  • Effectively communicate and work well with other MCI employees across shifts.
  • Actively work to take on more ownership of asset maintenance ownership through optimizing of PM's and involvement in FAT/SAT process as well as IQ/OQ.
  • Drive sense of urgency by knowing all line downtime and escalating quickly.
  • Provide input and feedback on department updates, status, changes, etc.
  • Support MCI with other duties as necessary.

     

Other Responsibilities:

  • Understand and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Safety Protocol: Stop any observed unsafe acts and obey facility safety rules and procedures, correct or report any observed safety hazards, support safety policies and programs.

 Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two (2) years of technical school graduate and three (3) to five (5) years' experience in a role supporting industrial manufacturing.
  • 3+ years' experience working in a Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) environment. Preferably dietary supplements, pharmaceutical s, or food manufacturing.
  • Must be able to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. 
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is desired, but not required.
  • No need to relocate.

     

Skills Required:

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Have good communicat on skills.
  • Be proficient at Microsoft Suite
  • Display an advanced ability to manage time and perform self-directed work.
  • Ability to work with outside vendors to improve current processes or find future process improvements.
  • Display an understanding and aptitude of electrical processes and design while troubleshooting equipment.
  • Display an understanding and aptitude of mechanical processes and design while troubleshooting equipment.
  • Display an understanding and aptitude of pneumatic processes and design while troubleshooting equipment.
  • Able to work cross functional as a team.
  • Able to work independently with little technical guidance.
  • Ability to lead projects to completion on time.
  • Ability to read & decipher machine drawings and electrical (schematics).
  • Problem-solving high-speed equipment to ensure production line runs efficiently.
  • Ability to fabricate and modify parts.
  • Ability to Weld, Mill, and use the Lathe.
  • Understand PLC controller systems.
  • Show respect for all other co-workers, get along with all co-workers.
  • Ability to accept work instructions & complete requests from co-workers.

The employee may be required to work with hazardous materials. The employee may be exposed to hot surfaces, hot air, and electrical hazards, and flames. While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works with moving machinery.
