Polaris Industries Sr. HR Business Partner, Off-Road in Plymouth, Minnesota

The Sr. HRBP or Sr. Human Resources Generalist (HRG) is a business partner to multiple functions and business leaders in our Off-Road global business unit. This role will partner with functional VPs and Directors to ensure human capital outcomes that support the strategic priorities of the business. The Sr. HRG will demonstrate HR functional excellence with the goal of designing an organization (strategy, structure, people, processes) to achieve the long-range plans of the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide day to day HRG support for key businesses and functions (Global Channel, Service, Customer Experience & Events) within Off Road Global Business Unit (about 350+ people)

  • Support the development and execution of annual HR processes for Off Road teams (i.e., Organization & Talent Review, Total Rewards processes, Performance Management processes, etc.).

  • Leverage and improve HR processes to drive excellence and capability to deliver value for client groups in organization and people development; Partner closely with Off-Road HR team and HR Center of Excellent (COE) teams in developing solutions and managing processes.

  • Partner on talent management, including identification of talent development needs, training opportunities, and capability building with the end game of building world-class teams with bench strength (succession plans) that can deliver against strategic and operational initiatives.

  • Lead recruitment efforts including conducting interviews to assist managers in the candidate selection process; Develop and implement recruitment and staffing strategies.

  • Provide guidance and coaching to leaders on employee relations issues, conduct investigations and advise on corrective action steps in disciplinary issues. Advise on appropriate record keeping and documentation.

  • Advise on all company policies, procedures and protocols; update Company policies and procedures with changing federal, state and local laws.

  • Track, maintain, and monitor data and provide necessary reports to drive decisions.

  • Maintain visibility and active presence within the team, providing daily support and proactive communication; Build and maintain strong teams and relationships through business partnership, coaching, mentoring and development at all levels.

  • Actively develop and foster a positive employee relations climate, high employee engagement, team effectiveness and integration of innovation.

  • Conduct exit interviews and process required termination paperwork, advise leaders on themes related to turnover and proactively recommend areas for improvement and retention.

  • Other duties and projects as required or assigned.

Qualifications- Education, Skills, & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business or related field is required ; Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.

  • 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience is required, with previous business partner experience being strongly preferred.

  • Proven track record of successfully implementing HR programs and initiatives ; change management, org design, org effectiveness and facilitation experience.

  • Proven project management experience is required, with the ability to manage complex projects across multiple stakeholders.

  • Proven effectiveness operating in matrix and dynamic environments.

  • Strong communication skills with ability to influence and build credibility at all levels.

  • Continuous improvement mindset; seeking ways to drive innovation and efficiencies throughout the organization.

  • Demonstrated independent and sound decision-making skills; ability to think critically and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and experience with HRIS system-based software required.

  • Strong analytical skills

Working Conditions:

  • Role based in a fast-paced, dynamic office environment (at least 3 days a week onsite, with the option for remote work 2 days a week)

  • Some domestic travel may be required (up to 10%)

  • Reports to Director, HR - Off Road

  • Based out of Bass Creek location.
