Cassia Human Resources Generalist in Plymouth, Minnesota

Allina Health Restorative Suites, a state-of-the-art transitional and restorative care campus in Plymouth, MN, is hiring an experienced Human Resource Generalist to join our team. In this position, you will play a critical role in managing the day-to-day operations of HR at our campus that includes processing payroll, candidate interaction, hiring, onboarding, and implementing HR policies. In addition to generous benefits, we are offering a $2,000 Bonus!

This is a Full-Time, benefit eligible position. Pending candidate interest, position can be scheduled 32-40 hours per week.

Hours: 9:00am to 5:00pm

Human Resources Generalist responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with department managers to interview as needed and send out job offers.

  • Onboarding processes for new hires including background checks, references, license verifications and communication with new hires.

  • Collaborate with site managers and home office HR on employee relations issues and performance management

  • Schedule and Collaborate with Cassia Home Office for new hire orientation.

  • Answer employee questions regarding HR, benefits, payroll and leave of absence.

  • Process new hire and termination paperwork.

  • Ensure employees are aware of and understand their Benefits and what is needed for enrollment.

  • Work with staff and managers to administer HR policies (i.e. leave of absence, workers compensation, OSHA, pay policies) and employee retention.

  • Manage unemployment claims.

  • Assist the Home Office during the annual open enrollment period for benefits.

  • Record, maintain, and update employee information in payroll/HRIS system and employee files.

  • Responsible for the day-to-day payroll related items and processes bi-weekly payroll.

  • Other duties as assigned.

    Human Resources Generalist skills and requirements:

  • 1-2 years of HR, benefits and payroll experience required.

  • Must have knowledge of HR laws and processes.

  • Experience working with HRIS systems, UKG/Workforce Dimensions experience preferred.

  • Excellent attention to detail, numerical abilities and computer skills.

  • Positive communication and customer service skills.

  • Ability to take initiative, be proactive, and demonstrate flexibility.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).

  • Team player who has a passion for elder care and adapts quickly to changing situations.
