The Opportunity

Our location in Plano, Texas, currently has an opportunity for an Electrical Engineer, Manufacturing.

The Electrical Engineer will be a member of the Manufacturing Engineering team and be involved in the day-to-day activities of Medical Device Product manufacturing.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead Failure and Root-cause Analysis of products that fail during manufacturing process and test.

  • Able to deep dive into the PCB schematics and layouts and assembly processes for failure analysis and troubleshooting.

  • Create test plans, including protocol development, custom tooling and fixturing design, Electrical testing, data analysis and reporting.

  • Analyze and interpret test data, identifying trends and formulating the next steps.

  • Able to communicate in an effective and professional manner (written and oral).

  • Make changes to the existing Test Platform (SW and HW) as needed.

Education / Experience

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree, Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Systems), Computer Science, or closely related discipline is desired or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

  • 5+ years of experience or equivalent, medical device experience preferable.

  • Proficient in Visual Studio C# programming

  • Hands on experience with Test Equipment

  • Proficient in documenting test procedures, results, and issues

  • Experience with AOI Systems including programming and debug of Cognex vision systems.

Preferred Competencies

  • 5+ years’ experience in the field of Medical Device Manufacturing

  • Experience with testing BLE hardware including familiarity with spectrum and network analyzers.

  • Exposure to Medical Quality Systems and Regulatory Requirements e.g. IEC, FDA, UL, CE

  • Knowledge of SQL server database development and interaction.

  • Experience with PLC logic and programming with any programmable logic controllers

MISC:

  • Travel 5 – 10% max

  • This is an on-site role – not a remote role

The base pay for this position is $72,700.00 – $145,300.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
