Job Title: Laboratory Analyst

Location: Norcross, GA

Work-Type: Temp-to-Hire, Full-Time, On-Site, M-F (1 st Shift)

Pay: max $25/hour (DOE) + Kelly Standard Benefits

Job Description :

Kelly’s client is hiring for a Laboratory Analyst (Legionella testing). for their nationally accredited lab that provides a full range of analytical testing services encompassing Environmental Testing (including fracking), Asbestos and Indoor Air Quality, and Microbiology as well as emergency response laboratory services.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze samples from different matrix, to provide information on compounds or quantities of compounds present, according to EPA, ASTM and Standard Methods.

• Use analytical techniques and instrumentation for Legionella testing using various methodologies, such as gas and high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), ion chromatography, electrochromatography and spectroscopy.

• Document measurements of samples and Quality Control in logbooks Interpret data and meet strict guidelines on documentation when recording data in the LIMS database.

• Calibrate instrumentation and other equipment.

• Maintain stock of laboratory chemicals and consumables.

• May assist with training new staff on Legionella testing procedures

• Report scientific results Develop techniques for the analysis of environmental samples

• Work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, chemistry, or related field is preferred

• Experience with GCMS required.

• 0-2 years of experience with microbiology testing in an industrial environment.

• Prior experience with Legionella testing a strong plus

• Proven analytical and mathematical skills.

• Ability to communicate proficiently in English, orally and to work in teams.
