Google Senior Revenue Accountant, Devices and Services Accounting Controllership in Mexico City, Mexico

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 4 years of experience in accounting or a related function, or 1 year with an advanced degree in accounting, business, or finance.

  • Experience with U.S. GAAP.

  • Ability to communicate in English fluently to connect with internal stakeholders globally.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in public accounting and operational accounting.

  • Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, with a focus on business recognition.

  • Ability to have a collaborative style and work with cross-functional and international teams.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to communicate effectively with senior management.

  • Ability to have attention to detail and focus on continuous improvement, including organizational skills.

  • Proficiency in Google Sheets or other spreadsheet technology.

Google accountants are a savvy bunch who handle the core accounting responsibilities at Google. You know your accounting principles and the full accounting process end to end. You'll advise on financial reports required by governmental regulations, and review, analyze, and interpret financial and budgetary reports. You'll lead an accounting process from end-to-end. Other responsibilities include reconciling balance sheets and P&L accounts, and providing supplementary financial information for internal and external reports.

From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.

  • Participate and support business to customer device, service business processes, and financial accuracy for operations.

  • Support and maintain Fi wireless related to financial month-end close activities and accuracy, including efficiency of accounting processes related to assigned area, accounting policies, balance sheet reconciliations, etc.

  • Partner closely across finance (FP&A, cross-product area, etc.) as well as the business (sales, business development, etc.) to support new or ongoing business initiatives, and improve process efficiencies/scalability for continued operational excellence.

  • Review and perform maintenance of deferred business schedules relating to store and Fi businesses.

  • Facilitate with analytic review, internal and external year-end audits, provide insights to drive effective management decisions, and ensure compliance. Support system launches and migrations, and participate in system design and testing when applicable.
