About the role This position is responsible for the accurate reporting of company’s on hand inventory including inventory control and analysis of all inventory and manufacturing variances on a global basis. Additionally, the position will be involved in the annual manufacturing and material budget and cost development. Included responsibilities are the review, analysis, management and control of material and material overhead / burden costs, labor and overhead rates and overall standard costs, along with providing appropriate insights and recommendations. Other responsibilities include working on annual standard cost freeze process, and special projects as necessary. Responsibilities Ensure the accuracy of the Company’s inventory records, and safeguard all inventory assets Analysis of on-hand inventory levels by plant and business unit, review of excess and obsolete inventory, analysis of inventory related variances, supporting the business units with their inventory management, and ensuring proper reporting of inventory and manufacturing variances by business unit globally. Assist in the planning, coordination, development, review and analysis of all manufacturing budgets, prepared based on the approved sales forecast; this involves working with representatives of Corporate personnel as well as all manufacturing plants worldwide Assist in the planning, coordination, development, review and analysis of all labor/ resource and overhead studies and rates, ensuring they result in the full absorption of the approved manufacturing budget amounts Develop, review and analyze material costs and material burden rates / amounts in coordination with annual profit plan targets and presentation dates Review and ensure accuracy of the Company’s frozen costs, including facilitation of the annual freeze process Analyze and review manufacturing freight and material burden, as well as their related absorption, and financial implications Review and analyze all product cost changes and projected margins resulting from the new material costs and labor and overhead rates, along with their related approved manufacturing budgets Qualifications Knowledge of manufacturing budget and overhead rate development in a standard cost environment are desired Experience in working with Oracle ERP & Hyperion Financial System preferred Must have ability to work independently and exercise proper judgment Must have strong analytical skills Must possess strong skills in both oral and written communication Must have ability to summarize and present information and findings clearly and concisely Must have strong Excel or other spreadsheet skills Education & Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance 3 years’ experience in Manufacturing preferred Travel Required travel is not extensive, and will normally be limited to 5-10% What We Offer Comprehensive benefits include: Medical, dental, and vision insurance programs 401K plans with employer-matching contributions Tuition reimbursement PTO Paid holidays Volunteer time off For more information about benefits, please go to: https://careers.leviton.com/benefits Leviton is an EEO/AA Employer.
