Aerotek Manual Machinist in Jupiter, Florida

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a skilled Manual Machinist with proficiency in operating a Vertical Lathe. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up machines, inspecting parts to ensure they meet drawing requirements, and troubleshooting any malfunctions. This role also requires the machinist to report any necessary repairs and to review set up sheets and specifications to determine set up procedures. The ideal candidate will align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines, as well as select the appropriate tools, machines, and materials in preparation for machining work as per work instructions.

Hard Skills

  • Manual and some CNC Machine operation

  • Vertical turning lathe experience

  • Previous manual machinist experience

Soft Skills

  • Troubleshooting

  • Attention to detail

  • Ability to follow set up sheets and specifications

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 18 Week(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Jupiter, Florida.

Work Environment

This position has a 1st shift opening from 7 am to 3:30 pm and a 2nd Shift from 3:30 pm to 2:00 am. Our manufacturing warehouse offers a well-lit, clean, and professional setting with air conditioning, though it may become warm during the summer months. There are no safety concerns. For all 2nd Shift positions, candidates will undergo at least 3 months of training on 1st shift. After transitioning to 2nd shift, employees will receive an additional 10% Shift Differential on their pay rate.
