Robert Half HR Generalist in Hawaiian Gardens, California

Description We are in the process of recruiting an HR Generalist for our operations in the Gambling Industries sector located in Hawaiian Gardens, California. The role involves handling a range of human resources functions, including the administration of FMLA and ADA processes, managing employee suspensions and terminations, conducting investigations, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies. This position offers a short term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and manage processes related to the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA)

• Provide guidance to employees regarding their rights and responsibilities under FMLA

• Ensure compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and facilitate reasonable accommodation requests

• Oversee the process for employee suspensions, ensuring due process and adherence to company policy

• Conduct thorough and impartial investigations into employee complaints and allegations

• Manage the termination process, ensuring compliance with legal and company requirements

• Support recruitment and onboarding processes

• Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures

• Maintain employee records and ensure data integrity in HR systems

• Provide HR support and guidance to employees and management, ensuring compliance with labor laws and HR best practices

• Utilize skills such as ADP - Financial Services, ADP Workforce Now, ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode, HRMS, About Time, Benefit Functions, Compensation Administration, Compliance, Employee Relations. Requirements • Demonstrated proficiency in 'ADP - Financial Services' and 'ADP Workforce Now'.

• Familiarity with 'ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode' and 'HRMS' is required.

• Experience with 'About Time' software is a plus.

• Knowledge of 'Benefit Functions' and 'Compensation Administration' is essential.

• Must possess a strong understanding of 'Compliance' procedures.

• Prior experience in 'Employee Relations' is highly beneficial.

• Open to candidates with 0 or more years of experience in the HR Generalist role or similar.

• Background in the Gambling Industries is preferred but not mandatory.

• Candidates must be able to legally work in the job location without sponsorship.

• Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both written and spoken.

• Candidates should be professional, enthusiastic, and possess a strong desire to succeed.

• Must have a valid identification document.
