Business Area: Cereal Partners Ireland

Location: Dublin, City West (hybrid working – approx. 2 fixed days a week in the office)

Salary between €65,000 - €70,000+ depending on experience + potential bonus + 12 flexible days in addition to holiday entitlement + other fantastic benefits!

A day in the life of a Customer Category Development & Insights Manager...

As a Customer Category Development & Insights Manager, working in a fast-paced environment, you will be playing a key role within the Cereal Partners Organisation. You are responsible for contributing to the category strategy prioritisation for Ireland by building competitive advantage execution plans.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • The set-up and maintenance of planning information in our Customer Plans internally to ensure accuracy against finance and business reporting KPIs.

  • Identify priority channels for the Category and create Category Channel plans and customer plans in line with the overall business strategy.

  • Deliver category insights through Nielsen and Dunnhumby platforms. Be the category and market expert internally and externally.

  • Contribute to the long-term plan process and manage the Cereals process by identifying the key opportunities and action plans for the Category and channels in which the category operates.

  • Recommend actionable in-store solutions based on a clear understanding on shopper behaviour within Cereals, support the implementation, and review the effectiveness of the plans implemented.

  • Provide promotional guidelines to the sales team based on shopper understanding and current market knowledge. Ensure all promotional investment is properly reviewed and evaluated.

  • Lead strategic revenue management projects from an Ireland perspective for the business to support analysis.

  • Recommend winning commercial propositions and customer sells, effectively communicating these to customers, PPS & NROC as appropriate.

What will make you successful?

To be successful in this role you will ideally already have some fantastic category and insights experience under your belt. You will be able to work under pressure and can manage workload calmly and professionally in an ever-changing environment to deliver exceptional results, using your initiative to solve challenges rapidly and often creatively.

Relationship building is key to success in this role so you should be able to demonstrate an excellent relationship building ability internally, externally and within multifunctional teams. Experience within a commercial FMCG environment would be preferable, but not essential.

  • You will need to be highly organised, conscientious and a team player who is able to navigate through situations that can sometimes be ambiguous and pressured.

  • Previous commercial experience in an Insights/ Category role is preferable.

  • Proven ability to create category insight driven sales stories and identify opportunities and threats from market data.

  • Ability to manipulate data from Nielsen, Kantar and Dunnhumby.

  • Demonstrable record of success in a customer facing role.
