Army Installation Management Command Recreation Assistant (Facilities Operator) NF-02 in Brunssum, Netherlands

Summary Who May Apply? US Citizens currently residing within the commuting area of BRUNSSUM, the Netherlands (not ordinarily resident in the Netherlands). US resident alien family members of US sponsors who are citizens of NATO countries other than the Netherlands. Non-US Nationals must have resided in the US or US Territory for three (3) or more continuous years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation. This position is located at the USAG Benelux, the Hub, Brunssum, the Netherlands. Responsibilities Works as an assistant for the Facilities Operations Team Leader who makes specific assignments, explains policies and procedures and reviews work for quantity and quality of completed projects. Assists patrons in use of the facility by checking out equipment, providing safety instruction, demonstrating new equipment, teaching classes, etc. Circulates among patrons to assure service is satisfactory; receives and resolves customer complaints; provides information and general instructions on the use of equipment, facilities and machinery. Monitors inventories and number and condition of items on hand. Coordinates with program staff to ensure adequate equipment is available in sufficient time to conduct program activities. Collects applicable fees for items issued, accounts for monies collected safeguards funds and makes daily bank deposits. Within walking distance, work to be performed in different facilities depending on customer demand or programmed activities. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Must possess one (1) year of work experience dealing with the general public that demonstrates the ability to secure facility, issue equipment to customers, collect fees (ex: registration for trip, payment of rented equipment, etc.) and monitor inventory of supplies and equipment. (Note: Experience must be equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the NF-01 level.) Must be able to plan, conduct, publicize and arrange support for special events, social activities, tournaments and related functions. May have to provide guidance to other staff members. Must possess or have the ability to obtain and maintain a valid USAREUR driver's license. Pay-Band (NF or CY) Allowances and Differentials Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. When authorized, night differential will be paid at the rate of 10% basic rate for hours of non-overtime work performed between 1800-0600. PCS Costs Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs is not authorized based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. Foreign Overseas Allowances Living Quarters Allowance (LQA) will not be paid in accordance with the Department of States Standardized Regulations (DSSR).
