Position Summary:

Analytical Instruments Group (AIG) provides a broad offering of instruments, consumables, software, and services that are used for a range of applications in the laboratory, on the production line and in the field.

Credit Analyst will report directly to an AIG Group Controllership Manager, Accounting and will be responsible for the collection of outstanding accounts receivable balances and allocation of payments. This role will work closely with the Division and broader Analytical Instruments Group (AIG) Finance, Sales and Customer care teams, Global Business Shared Services (GBS), and Corporate Finance teams to drive the recoverability of the receivables, enhance controls and optimize processes.

What you will do:

  • Review accounts receivable balances to ensure timely collection of payments

  • Proactively contact the customers via phone or e-mail to resolve outstanding balances

  • Maintain accurate records of collection activities and payment status updates

  • Work successfully with Accounting, FP&A, Commercial and Customer Services teams to address any issues or discrepancies on AR

  • Provide statements of account to customers and information about the payment allocation

  • Process relevant AR transactions in a timely and accurate manner, resolving any issues as needed

  • Ensure the timeliness, accuracy, and completeness of monthly close activities

  • Function as part of an impactful team of accounting professionals, working efficiently to achieve Team, Division and Group goals

  • Run relevant Accounts Receivable accounts, including monthly analysis and adjustments as the need arises

  • Perform variance analysis including current-to-prior month/quarter/year fluctuations

  • Collects, compiles, and verifies financial information to provide management with accurate and timely information for making decisions

  • Partner optimally with Business Finance and all Operational functions to understand and deliver Controllership related requirements

  • Support requests from external and internal auditors as well as various groups companywide

  • Support cross-functional initiatives to drive PPI and improve compliance

  • Support special projects as the need arises across AIG Group Controllership

Education/Experience

  • Required: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • 2+ years of relevant accounting/finance experience in large complex, multinational organization.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Experience of month end reporting, statutory accounts, management accounting & balance sheet reconciliations

  • Highly motivated and detail oriented individual with excellent communication, computer and organisational skills

  • Ability to prioritise and follow through in a fast-paced, multitask environment

  • Proficient user of Excel; experience with SAP (or equivalent), PowerPoint, and Hyperion is desired

  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills, ability to interact with all levels of personnel

Travel requirements

  • Less than 10% domestic/international travel required
