Description:

The candidate will be running 2 Horizontal Pallet mills at a time. They will be at the machines the entire time where they will be responsible for reading prints and machining the parts from there. They will also be responsible for checking the quality of all of their own parts using micrometers and calipers and recording the data on a sheet (pen and paper style). They will run both short and long runs and work with castings to machine the parts. Each machinist runs a machine cell that consists of two machines. They are a custom job shop so every day is different. Their customers dictate what their day will be. Typically they will be using their own tools and participate in set up and edits of the programs, they will have to take their parts to get tested at the quality lab on a day to day basis where the quality tech will run it through a CMM and run first piece inspections. Typical runs are between 4-7 set ups a day to one set up a week. All the programming is G&M code and done offline so they would just need to follow the G Code.
