Job Description:

SK Siltron CSS has a unique opportunity at the Bay City site in the Bay City, MI area for a R&D Technician.

This is a 2nd shift position.  Tuesday- Friday: 4:00pm- 12:30am and Saturday (8-hour flexible schedule)

Key responsibilities include:

Process, track and move R&D materials through the research process line

Construct, process, and inspect crystal growth packages

Collect and record data

Fabricate and/or organize the fabrication of custom components needed for R&D experiments

Perform other research experiments and duties under the supervision of the R&D team

Required and Preferred Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED or equivalent

Some college or associate's degree preferred with coursework in the sciences

Proactivity, self-motivation and a "whatever it takes" attitude

Attention to detail with the ability to execute experimentation at the direction of professional collaborators

Hands-on research experience

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to work constructively with a team of manufacturing personnel, engineers and other technicians

Scientific curiosity and the ability to document technical observations

Pay Range: $23 - $32 per hour
