The primary purpose of this job is to drive and support continuous improvement activities throughout all Integers manufacturing facilities, business functions and corporate processes by partnering with the functional leaders. Leads and mentors central team of Lean experts to streamline Operations and business processes using lean concepts.
Adheres to Integers Core Beliefs and all safety and quality requirements.
Implementation of Integer production system.
Responsible for the implementation of Lean Management applications, improving operational and technological processes to achieve greater efficiencies and effectiveness.
Responsible for the ongoing deployment, training and sustainment of Lean principles and systems.
Works with peer Lean Managers on the development, implementation and cross functional engagements of Supply Chain and Quality initiatives while closing gaps.
Leads a group that transforms efforts from inception to delivery including structuring the problem, diagnostics, lean design, piloting, deployment and continuous improvement.
Deploys and manages team on lean projects, ensuring appropriate coordination, communication, tracking and reporting of progress.
Facilitates highly visible and/or complicated workshops when required.
Trains and develops core team members.
Develops and champions new process initiatives and stimulates management thinking about process improvements.
Ensures team is leading towards a common vision and facilitating change management on a large scale.
Works with facility and business process leaders in developing and prioritizing Continuous Improvement priorities, plans and events. Evaluates requests and assigns events to team members.
May provide Lean training to suppliers as required (including Lean Concepts, Six-Sigma).
Challenges suppliers in a constructive manner and is a champion and catalyst for change.
Communicates in a timely manner (upwards, downwards and sideways).
Builds relationships with leadership, process owners and management to understand their issues, coach them and gain buy in for lean changes and recommendations.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field. MBA is a plus.
10 years industrial experience in driving continuous improvement. Plant Continuous Improvement Manager experience preferred. Global experience.
