The primary purpose of this position is to negotiate, enforce, and manage contracts with Integer’s supply base. Negotiated contracts will provide security of supply, reduce risk and secure purchases of quality goods under favorable provisions. The Contracts Specialist will integrate commodity strategies and will meet or exceed the overall Corporate and Supply Chain goals and objectives.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
Adheres to Integer’s Values and all safety, environmental, security and quality requirements including, but not limited to: Quality Management Systems (QMS), Safety, Environmental and Security Management Systems, U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, company policies and operating procedures, and other regulatory requirements.
Draft Non-Disclosure Agreements, track status, and input to Oracle once counter-signed. Follow up with Legal if changes are requested by a Supplier.
Negotiate contract terms with Suppliers ensuring Commodity Strategies, Supply Chain and Corporate objectives are met or exceeded.
Work with Commodity Managers and Sr. Commodity Managers to ensure contracts are completed within their applicable commodities with favorable terms to reduce risk and optimize inventory.
Total management of the contact approval process - circulate contracts for approval and upload approved contracts into the Contract Management Site in Oracle. Ensure signed contracts are communicated to relevant parties (i.e. Buyers and Contract Owners, Subject Matter Experts) to provide visibility to contract terms and requirements.
Maintain/manage Contract Database.
Monitor contract expiration dates to ensure applicable contracts are renewed in a timely fashion to eliminate gaps in contractual coverage.
Performs other functions as required.
Education & Experience:
Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or Business.
Minimum Experience: 5+ years in Supply Chain, Operations, Contracts
Knowledge & Skills:
Special Skills: Strong strategic thinking, written and oral communication skills and attention to details. Strong ability to manage multiple contracts and to prioritize based on business needs and requirements. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with multiple team leaders and stakeholders. Strong computer and presentation skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Oracle skills a plus.
Specialized Knowledge: Negotiating experience with background/understanding of legal language and provisions.
